My sweet Grandpa came to visit.  Jax and I tagged along with my parents to take him to visit my brother at his restaurant.  It was really nice to spend time with him, and the food was yummy too!

Piano practice

I just want to remember this....piano practice right before football practice.

1st day of school

First we had picture and meet the teacher day.

Well, he is off.  Middle school here he comes. Man, how did he get so old? I am not ready, but I think he is.  He is walking to school with a couple of his friends, which is also a new thing for me! Porter's school starts 2 weeks before the girls.  So we were all really missing him and anxiously waiting for him to get home! 

Then it was time for the girls!

She's off to 3rd grade.  Cute girl with big smiles!  

I love that her teacher greeted her with a big hug.  That made me feel a little better about handing her over, but I do always have to fight the last minute urge to grab her and run back home!

This cute girl is a Kindergartner!  She has been my little buddy by my side for 5 years.  How did it go by so fast? I love that she has so many sweet friends in her class. She has been so excited.  I have been dreading it....but she is off with a big smile, a wave, and a kiss!  She told me she "remembered to bring my best manners." Love this girl! Jax and I will be counting down to 3:30 when we get EVERYONE back!  This year is going to kill me......

Thank goodness for this little guy to keep me company!

Back to School Dinner 2012

Well, it's that time again.  The invitations were sent out taped to the bedroom doors, yummy food was made, goals were set, and now it's time for school. 

Always one of my favorite parts, seeing what they will pick to wear to "look your best" from the invitation :)

Our family theme for this school year is POSITIVE ATTITUDE.  Well, here we go!
