Rylee

Just a couple random pictures of Rylee.  Getting ready for Ballet with Miss Julie.  She loves Ballet and asks everyday if it is "ballet day".
Waiting for her check up.  She was pretty cute in her paper gown.

Easter!

On Saturday we took the kids to the neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  It was hundreds of kids in a field with all of the eggs scattered around on the grass :)  Not much hunting!  But Rylee had fun.
This year we had my family over for Easter dinner.  The kids help me set the table with a colored egg with each persons name on it to mark their seat.
Our kids love a good Easter egg hunt!  This year it was cold and the Easter bunny hid the eggs inside where it was warm.
Love that the girls are wearing their skirts from Grandma Welch!
Happy Easter

Patricia Jensen

My Grandma had been really sick for a couple of weeks and while Keri was here visiting I got the call that she had passed away.  I am so sad to not have her here with us and at the same time glad that she is not sick and in pain any more.  She has always been such a huge part of my life and I am so grateful that we share so many sweet memories together.
We dropped Keri off at the airport and started our drive to Utah.
Her funeral was beautiful, so many loving tributes and reminders of the spiritual principals of eternal families.
We spent time and caught up with all of my cousins and aunts and uncles on my Dad's side.  It was so nice.  We were so close when we were younger and would spend a lot of time together.  Now many of us are married and have our own families.  Such a sweet and tender time to ponder on the legacy that Grandma Jensen left to each of us.

While we were there we were able to see Allen's parents who had just started their Mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City.
It was so nice to see them.

We enjoyed visiting family and celebrating the life of my amazing Grandma.  I am so grateful for eternal families!

Aunt Keri comes to town!

We love when Aunt Keri comes to visit!!
We had so much fun skiing last week that we decided to take Keri skiing while she was here.
She doesn't love the snow and cold (California girl) but she was a great sport and we bundled her up told her how much fun she would have!

Porter and his snowboard.
Taking a snack break.
Nice jump Port!
Rylee loved it again! She just wanted to go again and again.

Sidney taking a breather!

Well, I don't think we turned Keri into a skier, but we had a great time!

We went to the Museum of Nature and Science and showed Keri all of our favorite exhibits.
We skied, played, ate, stayed up late, watched movies, and soaked up every minute with Keri.  We love to have her and just wish she could come over at least once a month!  The kids constantly try to get her to stay longer.  Ok, lets be honest, we all try to get her to stay longer :)

Breckenridge

A while ago we were talked into going to listen to a time share presentation.  We put it off for quite awhile but then we decided just to do it.  It helped that it was a time share in Breckenridge and included a two night free stay in a condo there!  We decided to take advantage and make one day a family ski day.  This was Rylee's first time getting her own skis.  I wasn't sure how she would like it, but she was really excited.
All bundled up, and ready to head to the slopes.
It was a beautiful day!  We started out on the magic carpet.  Porter and Sidney love to ski/snowboard and Rylee was ready to try.
Sidney on the magic carpet.
We figured out that Rylee loves to ski!  But she can't quite make a pizza with her skis to slow her down yet.  So we were a team and she skied inside my skis while I held her arms.  She loved it!
We seriously went on that chair lift about 250 times!  She didn't want to stop.

Then we went to the main lodge and enjoyed the out door hot tubs.  The kids thought it was so cool to be in the hot tub playing with the snow!

We had a great time.  It was a nice little get away and a fun ski day.  The presentation was long and boring, but it was worth it to get to live it up in Breckenridge with my favorite people!
Maybe we will "consider" a time share again some time :)
