Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

We went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo with my parents. This is the zoo that I grew up going to . It is beautiful and has the best view. It is built into the side of a mountain. So it includes some really serious incline walking, especially if you are pushing a stroller!

The kids loved it! There is even a gondola ride. And you can still feed the giraffes!

Rylee was pretty fearless with the giraffes, Sidney......not so fearless :)

The chipmunk was a highlight. If you look closely, that is some of our "Pirates Booty" that he is munching on!

One of our other favorites was the grizzly bears! They decided to go for a swim while we were watching. They swam and played and we had a front row seat! It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time!

Girls Camp

I was able to spend a week at this beautiful place with all of the great Young Women in our ward!
We had a great time cooking, hiking, talking, laughing, playing volleyball, making necklaces, sometimes shivering, and learning together.
Thanks girls!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the love of my life.
The kids had a fun time trying to make this a special day for Allen.
We are so grateful for such a hardworking and "hardplaying" Dad!
We love you!

Fun at the Lake

We enjoyed some great lake time this summer!

One of my favorite views!

Sidney's First Field Day

She was very proud that she was one of the few Kindergartners that made it to the top of the climbing wall!

Sidney has been going to Porter's Field day for the last 3 years and cheering him on in every event. She was very excited because this year she had her own Field Day!

Rylee was a great cheerleader! She even shared in the popsicles at the end!
Sidney has made some great friends this year. She is always trying to be a "friend to everyone", as she would say. Man I love her!

Porter's Field Day and Loosing/LOST teeth

Field Day is here again! Porter loves Field Day, it is right up his alley.

It was a beautiful day. I was particularly thankful for that because it literally turned into a Field DAY for Rylee and I. We were there in the morning for Sidney, came home and had lunch, and went back in the afternoon for Porter!

Porter had lost a tooth during school that morning, I know they are falling out left and right at our house! The ladies at the office gave him a tooth necklace to put it in for "safe" keeping. He was wearing the necklace as he was running, jumping, twisting, hopping, rolling, and spinning. I asked him if he wanted me to hold it for him, he handed it over and I shook it.....nothing. I opened it up and, sure enough, it was empty. Somewhere in the huge school field was Porter's tooth. He was very sad at first, but we reassured him that the Tooth Fairy would still pay up! He was still bummed, but luckily still enjoyed the rest of his Field Day.

Kindergarden Star of the Week

Sidney was super excited to finally be star of the week in her Kindergarden Class.
I guess you have to wait till the end of the year when your last name starts with a W!
She wanted the poster to be "pretty" and "pink".  I think we got it :)
She wanted pictures of the Lake, her as a baby,
soccer, ballet, a picture of just her and Porter, a picture of all of our family, her and Ollie together, and her and Allen together.
I love it!

Seussical

We only had my phone to capture a picture of Porter in the  Seussical play at school.  He had practices twice a week after school and parts and songs to memorize.  Good job Porter!
