Mexico!!

We took an awesome trip to Cancun this summer! We had a great time with my Mom and Dad, Stuart, Paul, Rachel, Adam, Jean, Maxine, Jill, and Chris.

We stayed in Cancun for the first half of the week and Playa del Carmen for the second half.

The kids had a blast....and so did we!!

Some Highlights of the trip.......

Swimming....all the time! Two cases of swimmers ear to prove it!

Porter and Sidney on the first day of school at SkyView Academy. Porter is starting 4th grade and Sidney is starting 1st grade. I can't believe I have two kids in school ALL day. Rylee and I will be waiting patiently to pick them up at 3:30!

Back to School Dinner 2010

We had our annual Back to School Dinner. The invitations were sent out.....to Allen and the kids, the food was made, the table was set, and the sparkling cider was chilled.

The invitations said to come dressed nicely with your hair combed. I always love to see what they pick to wear. Everyone looked very nice and had good manners.

Porter and Sidney are starting at a new school this year. We talked about getting ready for school to start. We talked about things they are nervous about and what they are the most excited about. Then Allen gave them each a sweet father's blessing.

New school year....here we come!

Kids say the funniest......

Jax-"Mine Butt, pwease!" (While making the sign for milk. I have no idea how MILK turned into Butt. We have tried and tried to get him to say Mmmm Milk….Jax-"Mmmm Butt!" 7-14

Jax-"Mine ump, ump!" (That boy loves to jump on the tramp!) 8-14

Jax-"Bubba, Nn, I" (Porter, Sidney, & Rylee) 7-14

Sidney-"Mom, can you comb Jaxon's hair into that little Mohog?" (mohawk) 11-12

Rylee-"Can I have some nem-nem's?" (M&M's)(She is growing out of this one and it makes me so sad.) 11-12

Rylee-"Can I please watch a FOVIE (movie) 4-11

Rylee-"They are going to let me be a SunBEAN!" 12-10

Rylee-"I hope I get a huler hoop for Christmas!" 12-10

Sidney-"Mom, Mexico is the best place EVER!" 12-10

Porter-"It's so weird when the pimple in your eye gets really big"......pupil? 12-10

Rylee-"My Case!" (Meaning her swim "suit", which she gets mixed up with a "suit" case!) 7-09

Rylee-"Shobel, Shobel!" (For some reason she calls sweeping, shoveling and her v's are b's right now!) 7-09

Rylee-"Hold you!" (Meaning she wants you to hold her.)7-09

Sidney-"Mom, now my bones are 5 years old!" 10-08

Sidney- "Dad, Rylee is getting a mistress!" (I think that was supposed to be, getting into mischief?) 8-08

Sidney and I are walking down the hall at Church. She is pointing at the pictures on the wall and telling me what they are of. Jesus as a baby, Jesus and the little children....."Look, Mom, that is when Jesus died for us on the Crosswalk!" (The cross, sweetheart?) 11-08

Porter-"Come on, Peeps!" (Where does he get this stuff?) This has also turned into Sidney, of course copying her brother-Sidney-"Where's my Peeps?" 11-08

Porter- One of Porter's favorite things to say. "Dad, give Rylee to Mom so we can go Play and have fun!" (Apparently Mom is not the most fun person in the family)
