Ski Weekend

Winter scout campout, Burrrr!
Allen and Porter went on a scout campout….in a few feet of snow!
Allen has been feeling pretty good and decided he could take it easy and still go, love that guy.
There were tents in the snow and a couple of snow caves!
I think a few of the boys were pretty cold, but Allen and Porter layered up and took their good gear and had a great time :)

FuNnY KiDs!

Allen's surgery
We found out that Allen had a double hernia and needed surgery. This is our first time with anyone having surgery. So it was a big deal for all of us.
I took this picture right before they took him back. Right after I pleaded with the surgeon to please bring him back safely, with tears and all. He said, "You know he is just having hernia surgery, right." Hey, buddy I have seen plenty of hospital dramas in my day! Then he reassured me that he would take good care of him!
Everything went smoothly and I was very happy to see him with my own eyes again ;)
We are glad to have him home and we are taking good care of him. I have no doubt that he will be back to his active self very soon.

Grandma and Grandpa Welch come to visit!
Grandma and Grandpa Welch came to visit for the weekend and to be here for Porter's ordination.
This was a big weekend for Porter. He was ordained a deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood. Allen's parents and my parents came to support him. It was a very special day.
We took advantage of having them in town and enjoyed every minute!
We snuck away and went to the temple.
Right before this picture I tripped and fell down the stairs right in front of a huge wedding party, nice Randi :) Ahhh, the memories!
We tracked down some tickets to the nuggets game, and then found out it didn't start until 8:30pm!
So we geared up for the late game and had so much fun!
A visit from Rocky :)
Jax crashed about 9:30, not even half way through the game!
And he stayed asleep through all of the crazy loud cheering up until the last exciting seconds of the Nuggets winning the game! It was so loud….we had some pretty loud cheering from our group, it was an exciting finish. Totally worth staying up late! And Jax slept on :)
We are so grateful that Allen's parents came and were here for this special weekend!
