American Ninja Warrior

We love the tv show American Ninja Warrior. We all watch it as a family. The kids love it and jump all around the couch, make obstacles out of pillows, and cheer for each competitor. So when we heard it was going to be filming in Denver, we thought it would be fun to go. Although it is filmed during the night, starting at 11pm, so just Allen and I went :)

We tucked the kids in bed and had a good friend who is home from college for a little while come and sleep at the house. Then we drove downtown and from 11pm-6am felt like we were in college again pulling an all-nighter and having a great time.....Then the next morning I remembered I am a mom of 4 kids, with a school schedule, and was pretty tired :)

But it was so fun and totally worth it!

It was SO cold. They had to stop a couple times to melt the ice off of a couple obstacles!

An exciting night/early morning with this guy. It was pretty fun to see ourselves on TV, the kids think we are so cool. Thanks for always being ready for fun adventure, Allen!

Take your kids to work day!

Sidney counted down to this day all year! This is the first year that just Sidney gets to go. Janus invites 7-12 year olds. So Porter is too old (he was pretty sad about not going), and Rylee is super excited to go when she is 7 next year.

So Sidney soaked up her special time with Dad.

Easter!

We love Easter! Coloring Easter eggs is one of the kids' favorite things to do.

Jax really got into it this year, he worked hard on his dozen eggs.

I love that even as Porter gets older he still gets just as excited to color eggs.....or do anything fun with the family.

I love these guys! They are all at really fun ages and I feel like I need to enjoy every minute.

Hike

My awesome Girls Camp leader and I decided to try out a hike that we wanted to take the girls on to get ready for camp. Jax was our hiking buddy :) It was a beautiful day. We hiked, stopped and had lunch, Jax took a nap on the way back down, and enjoyed great company and beautiful scenery!

Conference weekend at Grandma & Grandpa's house

We stayed down at my parents house for conference weekend and had so much fun! It was the perfect little get away.

Grandma treated us to pedicures while the guys went to Priesthood session.

This was Sidney and Rylee's first time and they were so excited!!

And this little buddy sat on my lap the whole time.

Sidney decided pedicures are really awesome. We all loved it!

And we celebrated my Dad's Birthday while we were there! We enjoyed listening to conference and spending time with family. It was a great weekend, just what we needed.
