Sledding…and burying the kids in the snow!

It was a cold and snowy day!  Sidney wanted her stuffed animal to stay warm!
Allen took Porter, Sidney, and Rylee to the hill behind our house to sled.
The girls had fun being buried in the snow.

Porter snowboarding down the hill.
This picture totally freaked me out.  Allen told me it was a picture of Rylee buried in the snow!
Then he showed me this one and assured me that her head was not covered, just taking the picture at the right angle.  Oh good :)
Silly kids…and Dad!

Allen's Birthday!

Allen's Birthday is on a Sunday this year.  So he was looking extra nice for his Birthday picture!
Love this picture!
I think he had a good Birthday.  After a busy Sunday we had a yummy dinner, opened presents, talked to friends and loved one on the phone, and enjoyed spending time with the Birthday boy.
Happy Birthday Allen!
We love you.

Braces!

Sidney did really well with her expander and now it is time for her braces.
She was so excited.  We really should have told her this was her Christmas present ;)

After
I hope that she enjoys them as much tomorrow!

Ice skating

We took the kids iceskating.  It ended up being pretty cold, so Jax and I hung out in the stores around and came out to check on everyone periodically!
They all loved it.

Thank goodness for this stack of buckets for Rylee to push around.
She loved being able to "skate" by herself :)

Build a bear

We went to Build a bear with my Mom and Sister and all the kids.
This was Jaxon's first time getting to make one. He thought it was pretty fun.

Love all of the kids with their boxes!

100 year old Rylee!

Today was Rylee's 100th day of Kindergarten.  So they asked the kids to dress up like they are 100 years old.
I thought we did pretty good!
She was so excited.
She will make a very cute 100 year old one day :)

I was volunteering in her class so I got to see all of the cute old geezers.
They stacked 100 cups!
Cute friends.  I hope they are still friends when they are 100.
They can go to lunch and knit together ;)

Happy 100 days of school Rylee!

Daddy Daughter Dance

The school had their annual Daddy Daughter Dance tonight.  Rylee was SO excited that she got to go this time too!  All dressed up and ready to go.  They met some friends and went out to dinner and then to the dance.  They danced, loved the chocolate fountain, made necklaces, and took pictures with their Dads.
Those are some lucky girls.

Field Trips!

I was lucky enough to get to spend some time with each of my girls on their field trips.  I love to go and spend time with my kids and their friends!
Sidney's grade went to the Denver museum of Nature and Science.

Plus they still think it is great for me to come and we get to ride on the bus like this :)
I didn't know if Sidney would want to sit by me or her friends, but she saved me a seat and I got a little teary-eyed.  I was extra grateful for this time with her.

Then, just a few days later…..
Snuggling with this girl!
Rylee's grade went to the Wilderness Experience.
Cute friends, love these girls!
So grateful for the great schools and teachers that spend their time with our kids.

Jaxon's FIRST Birthday!

My Baby is O N E!
I can't believe it.
The time has gone by quickly and has been filled with lots of love, laughs, snuggles, gratitude, and soaking up every moment of his first year.
We are all totally in love with this little boy.
He has each of us wrapped around his little finger, which equals one spoiled baby boy!
He had a fun day and did his best at opening his presents.  He needed some help, good thing he has 3 personal helpers waiting on him hand and foot :)
Love that little face!

Not sure about his personal little cake.

We had a second celebration with my family.  This time he was more excited about the cake…..maybe because it had frosting this time!

Happy Birthday Jax!
We love you.
I can't imagine our lives without you.
This has been a great year and I am looking forward to a whole new year with my one year old :)
I snuck into Jaxon's room and rocked him for the last few minutes before he officially turned one…..and the first few minutes after!

Lets go to the movies!

Aunt Keri sent the kids gift cards to the movie theater.  They were so excited to take their cards and pay for their own tickets!
We love Christmas break, movies, and Aunt Keri :)
