Halloween!

Oh, Halloween.....we love it!
We were so lucky to have Allen's parents in town for Halloween this year!
Everyone loved carving pumpkins with Grandma and Grandpa!

Jax made Grandma get all of the "yucky" stuff out.

Our Broncos group!
Players and cheerleaders :)

We had told Allen's parents about how much my Dad loves Halloween....
They were so great to help and really enjoyed all of the fun!

It was a pretty nice night, we only had to bundle a little bit.  We had a fun dinner and of course loved all of the trick or treaters and families that came to enjoy the Halloween fun.

Three little skeletons!
It was another great Halloween!  We are so glad we could have Grandma and Grandpa in town to make it extra special :)

Mount Rushmore or Bust!

It's Fall break, the weather is beautiful, and we are heading to Mount Rushmore with some great friends!

Loaded and ready to go!

We haven't ever been and we thought it would be pretty neat, but we were surprised by how great it really was. We all loved it.

We drove almost all the way and stayed in a motel with an indoor waterpark.  So fun!  The kids loved it.  We played and hung out with friends, and even watched the BYU football game after the kids went to bed!

Then we drove the rest of the way and enjoyed a beautiful day at Mount Rushmore.

We walked around, checked out the visitors center, did a little hike, had ice-cream, and took LOTS of pictures!

All of the kids :)

We had a great weekend!
Thanks South Dakota!

Miller Farms

This is one of my favorite traditions!
Fall at Miller Farms :)

Ready to go on our hayride to pick veggies.
We brought our own wagon this time and loaded it right up on the hayride.
We picked corn, decorative corn, pop corn, onions, carrots, dill, potatoes, and pumpkins!
While we eating lunch I saw Brian Arnold (from American Ninja Warrior) walk by with his family.
He is one of our favorite competitors to watch.
I was pretty sure it was him so the kids and I ran to catch up and ask him for a picture.
He was very nice and talked to us for a little while.
We were so excited to send the picture to Allen....
but he didn't recognize him and thought he was a friend of ours from Highlands Ranch....
Hmmm, ANW fan fail!
But we forgave him and told him who it was and then he was really excited :)

We climbed on fire trucks...

UFO's...

Monster trucks, haystacks, airplanes...

and pumpkins!

We took a bunch of pictures and the kids were a little over it.
Like Rylee here....

and here.....

and here!

Love all of these kiddos, and Fall, and traditions, and
PUMPKINS!

Vote for Sidney!

This cute girl decided to run for Student council Treasurer.
I am so proud of her!
And I was so nervous. We wanted this to be a good experience for her whatever happened.
She committed, made her poster, wrote a speech with her Dad (it was the best speech ever), practiced, and practiced, and practiced!
She was so nervous.
First she gave her speech to the whole 5th grade, then she made it to the finals and gave her speech to the whole elementary school.
She did great!!
Did I say I was so proud of her? :)

And her best friend was running for Vice President.
We hoped that they would both make it, but knew that it was a long shot.....

I was helping at the school when they announced the winners over the intercom.
And they BOTH won!
(I may have cried a little)
As you can see from this picture they were very happy :)

It was a great experience for Sidney and I am so glad she did it.
Congratulations Sidney!!!!
Here is a video of her speech to the 5th grade.

General Women's Conference

Today Sidney and I went to out Stake center to watch the General Women's broadcast.  This year they changed it to 8yrs and up.  We went to dinner with friends at Chipotle and then had a great time watching the broadcast.  I am grateful for the special time I had with Sidney tonight!

Family lake night!

We slacked off on all of our weekday activities, loaded everyone up and headed to the lake.
It was the best idea ever :)

Sunset surfing is the best.
